Mumbai, May 12

Movenpick ice-creams of Switzerland is re-entering the Indian market through a distribution arrangement with Rhapsody Foods & Beverages. Having floated a subsidiary in the past, the company exited the Indian market in 2002. With a restrictive distribution strategy, the premium ‘all natural’ Movenpick ice-creams would be sold at 5-star hotels and upscale outlets such as the Godrej Group-owned Nature’s Basket. “Today, the Indian market is ready an d we would be pegging our scoops at Rs 100,” said Mr Karun Premraj, Director of Rhapsody Foods.
