PSL arm bags Japanese order

Mumbai, May 13

Pipe manufacturing company PSL Ltd said that its Sharjah-based subsidiary PSL FZE has received a $45-million order for steel pipes from Hanwa Co Ltd, Japan. The supply is for Nakheel Corporation’s Palm Beach Project. PSL FZE will supply 60 km of pre-coated piling pipes, fabricated from special steel with an anti-corrosion coating, for the project developed by Al Nakheel Properties. Al Nakheel is a Dubai World company with a portfolio of real estate projects. “T his order is to be executed within 12 months. Each pipe for the application will be 24-25 metres long and such piping applications have a very large market potential within the rapidly developing real estate sector for the UAE,” said Mr Ashok Punj, Managing Director, PSL Ltd. —
