Fishermen at work in the backwater near Kochi. The Kerala Task Force on Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture has submitted an action plan to increase inland fish production by 150 per cent to two lakh tonnes over a period of ten years. It also aims at attaining self-sufficiency in the production of quality fish feed within the State and developing ornamental fisheries sector with an emphasis on export.
