Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd has informed that EKC Industries (Tianjin) Co Ltd, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary in China, has successfully completed the trial production phase and commercial production has commenced in the first week of May.

GEI Industrial Systems Ltd has said that the company, the Indian promoters and Hamon (foreign collaborator/shareholder) have resolved their various disputes/differences pending before the CLB and have signed a Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) dated May 6, 2008. The CLB vide its order dated May 9 has approved the MoS. As and when the terms of the MoS are given effect to, the same shall be intimated.

KEC International Ltd has been awarded a contract by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd for supply and construction of transmission lines on turnkey basis in Jharkand, Bihar and West Bengal for a total value of Rs 111.41 crore.

Muthoot Capital Services Ltd has deferred a decision on the formation of a subsidiary company to carry on the business of capital market operation.

Sita Shree Food Products Ltd has received export orders worth Rs 10 crore from Vietnam, Pakistan, the UAE, KSA and Turkey. It had executed export orders worth Rs 8.30 crore during April-May ‘08. Sita Shree foods makes wheat products, which are sold mainly in bulk form and has been one of the major suppliers to Godrej Pillsbury and Uniliver and also counts retail chains such as Reliance Fresh and Pantaloon Food Products (Big-Bazaar) among its clients. Going forward, the opportunity for supplying wheat products in bulk or packaged form to retail chains may continue to expand.
