Avoidable controversy

The recent controversial comment of the US President, Mr George Bush, that the food crisis in the World is caused by the lavish eating habits of the Indian middle-class could have been avoided had he been advised to be more careful in his comments. It appears that the US is unable to digest the tremendous development of the Indian economy and, hence, his words appear to have been said more out of frustration. It would be best to ignore this outburst; attaching too much meaning would only give undue publicity to Mr Bush.
