Strides' new product gets US nod

Bangalore, May 14

Strides Arcolab Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has received approval for its sixth ANDA (abbreviated new drug application) in the US. The latest product to get the go-ahead is Flumazenil injection used to treat sedative or anaesthesia effects. The product, to be sold as 0.1 mg/ml multiple dose vial, is licensed to Akorn-Strides, LLC, a joint venture formed in 2004. Mr Arun Kumar, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO, said plans were afoot to commercialise the six sterile injectables under the Akorn-Strides partnership.
