Shyam gets CDMA spectrum in Maharashtra

New Delhi, May 14 Shyam Telelink, partly owned by Russian conglomerate Sistema, has been allocated start-up CDMA spectrum for Maharashtra circle.

Earlier, Shyam has been allocated spectrum for 12 circles namely Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh (East) Uttar Pradesh (West), Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Haryana, North-East, Assam and Jammu and Kashmir.

The company is also expected to get spectrum for another seven circles very soon, making it a pan-India operator. Sistema has announced $5 billion investment for rolling out cellular services in India.
