New Products & Services SatNav offers regional voice prompts Hyderabad, May 14 SatNav Technologies has announced it has introduced voice prompts in eight Indian languages, which the company believes will enable them to cater to a larger market of geographical positioning system-based navigation. Users can now drive listening to voice prompt-based directions in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil and Telugu. It plans to add some more languages. This language option will be available through all its platforms — perso nal digital assistants, phones, laptops and desktops. Alongside this, the company announced the launch of high level graphs, which ensure that the navigation is much faster compared to earlier versions. The Chief Executive Officer of SatNav, Mr Amit Prasad, in a statement said “We now have our product in eight languages, which opens up a market hitherto untapped.
