Announcements Cadila products get USFDA nod Ahmedabad, May 15 Cadila Healthcare Ltd (Zydus Cadila) has received four product approvals from the US Food and Drug Administration to market Pravastatin sodium tablets 10, 20, 40 and 80 mg and tentative approvals for EscitalopramOxalate tablets, 5,10 and 20 mg, Losartan potassium and Hydrochlorthiazide tablets 50 mg/12.5 mg and 100 mg/25 mg and Anastrazole tablets 1 mg, according to a release here today. The US market of Pravastatin sodium tablets, a lipid lowering agent which falls in the cardiovascular segment, was estimated at $1.9 billion in 2007, while the branded sales of Escitalopram Oxalate tablets, an anti-depressant, were estimated at $3 billion. Losartanpotassium and Hydrochlorthiazide tablets, an anti-hypertensive, were estimated at $ 785 million.
