The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has said that Reserve Bank of India has dispatched Rs 70 lakh of currency coins to Dakshina Kannada district. A press release said here that KCCI had asked the RBI to release coins to the district, as the traders in the district faced acute shortage of small denomination coins some time ago. The RBI has dispatched coins through the currency chests of leading national banks, the release added. –
