Outlook eZone plans expansion Our Bureau Bangalore, May 16 Future Group’s eZone, the Rs 750-crore electronics specialty chain, is expecting to touch a turnover of Rs 2,500 crore by 2010. Speaking to reporters here after the opening of the eZone Concept Store, the largest eZone in the country, Mr Manoj Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of eZone and Electronics Bazaar, said that the specialty chain of stores has been growing at 30-40 per cent a year. The eZone Concept Store is spread across a 30,000-sq ft area and retails over 6,000 products and 250 brands of Indian and international consumer durables and electronics. The store has four dedicated zones — Liberation Zone, Experience Zone, Home Zone and Future Zone. About 15 per cent of the SKUs belong to the Future Group’s private labels, Koryo and Sensei, he said. Commenting on the experience factor in the eZone Concept Stores, Mr Manoj Kumar said, “The store takes the product experience to the next level, both for manufacturers and customers.” The Future Group currently has 37 eZone stores, 23 of which are standalone stores and 13 shop-in-shop outlets. The plan is to open stores in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkota soon, Mr Kumar said. Investment for each eZone Concept Store would be around Rs 10 crore, according to him.
