Award for CCMB scientist
Hyderabad, May 18
Dr Ram Rup Sarkar, a scientist with the Centre for
Cellular and Molecular Biology, has been selected
for the Medal for Young Scientist (2008) of Indian
National Science Academy. Dr Sarkar has been chosen for
his contributions in theoretical biology, ecology and
epidemiology with a special emphasis on deterministic
and stochastic modelling that are useful in monitoring,
forecasting and controlling such systems. "The award
carries a bronze medal, a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and
