Awards & Honours States - Andhra Pradesh Nagarjuna Construction gets award Hyderabad, May 19 A water project designed and implemented by Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd (NCC) has won a national urban water award for this year. The “Combined Water Supply scheme to 156 villages and two towns in Amaravati district in Maharashtra” was designed, constructed, operated and maintained by NCC for Maharastra Jeevan Pradhikaran. It was among the 16 awardees recently feted by Mr Ramachandran, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development. Incidentally, the s ame project features in the Limca Book of Records in 2005, a release from NCC said. The scheme was designed completely on the basis of gravity right from source to the consumer tap and it does not require any power supply.
