Suven gets product patents in China

Hyderabad, May 20

Suven Life Sciences Ltd has secured two product patents in South Africa and China for two of its New Chemical Entities for the treatment of disorders associated with neuro-degenerative diseases. The granted claims of the patents, which are valid till 2024 and 2025, respectively, included the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by the Hyderabad-based company. The compounds were being developed as therapeutic agents and would be useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neuro-degenerative disorders such as attention deficient hyperactivity, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson, Schizophrenia and Huntington’s, according to a release.
