V-Guard net up at Rs 37 cr

Kochi, May 20 The net profit of V-Guard Industries has increased by 97.87 per cent to Rs 37.42 crore (Rs 18.23 crore) during 2007-08. The profit before tax grew to Rs 52.43 crore (Rs 26.49 crore).

The company has earned a non-recurring profit of Rs 29.70 crore during the year which has contributed to the sharp increase in the gross profit, V Guard said in a statement issued here. The board, which met here on Monday, has recommended a final dividend of 25 per cent for the fiscal.

“V-Guard, which is a leader in electrical and electronic equipments, has made rapid growth in its performance in the current fiscal and has displayed exemplary growth,” Mr Kocouseph Chittilappilly, Managing Director of the company said.
