Dell unveils new servers

Bangalore, May 21

Computer maker Dell Inc said on Wednesday it launched the new Dell PowerEdge R805 and R905 deliver servers. The servers have VMware ESXi 3.5 or Citrix XenServer Express integrated hypervisors, and can be used as a platform for virtualised environment. The servers are available worldwide with a starting price of Rs 2 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh respectively. The company also said the Dell EqualLogic storage arrays offer advanced SAN-aware integration with VMware site recovery mana ger for data protection and disaster recovery for virtualised environments. Dell also announced the expansion of its virtualisation services, which would be available from Dell Global Infrastructure Consulting Services.
