Schwarzkopf joins hands with Lakme

Chennai, May 23 FMCG Player Henkel group’s high-end hair product brand Schwarzkopf Professional has tied up with the salon chain Lakme.

Currently, Lakme has over 100 salons across the country. Under this exclusive pact, Lakme will use Schwarzkopf hair care products in all its salons. In return, Schwarzkopf will provide training for hairdressers in the salons.

Schwarzkopf has similar tie-ups with over 1,000 standalone salons across the country.

According to Mr K.A. Murali Sundar, Country Head, Schwarzkopf, the brand is No.2 in the country with 20 per cent share of the Rs 100-crore haircare market. L’Oreal is the market leader with 60 per cent share. While the market is growing at 25 per cent a year, Schwarzkopf hopes to grow 40 per cent to touch Rs 28 crore during the current fiscal.
