KWA to have consultancy wing
Thiruvananthapuram, May 23
The Kerala Water Authority (KWA) is launching a
new wing to offer consultancy services to
infrastructure development projects. Styled `Wascon', the
consultancy wing will have specialisation in water and
environmental engineering, structural engineering and
project management, according to Mr C. Suresh Babu,
Managing Director, KWA. The wing, with technical
experts trained by KWA, will be capable of drawing up
designs for water supply systems, waste processing units
and solid waste disposal systems and soil testing for
construction of bridges and multi-storey buildings.
Wascon will take up designing of projects as also the
work for implementing them for individuals and
contractors, apart from government departments, public
sector organisations and local self governments. The
consultancy wing will be launched on May 25. - Our
