IPR Compact Disc sells IP rights for games for Rs 7.10 cr Our Bureau New Delhi, May 27 Media and entertainment company, Compact Disc India Ltd (CDI) on Tuesday said it has inked a deal with Golden Games Pte. Ltd, as part of which CDI has transferred IP rights of an animated character ‘Joker’ to the Singapore-based company. Golden Games would make a total payment of Rs 7.10 crore towards the purchase of IP rights, which would be used for developing and publishing on-line mobile, PC and console games in near future. “CDI is expected to generate additional revenue of Rs 20 crore by selling IP Rights for the games during the fiscal year 2008-2009,” Mr Suresh Kumar, Chairman, Compact Disc India Ltd, said in a statement.
