New Delhi, May 28 Education service provider Educomp Solutions Ltd and Raffles Education Corp, a $2.78-billion private education group in Asia Pacific region, has announced two strategic joint ventures in India and China.

While the India joint venture is for professional education pursuits, the China partnership is for K-12 business initiatives. Under the terms of the agreement, the existing Raffles Design Institute in Mumbai will be merged into the joint venture operations. The 50:50 partnership will be rolled out over the next two to three years. The venture in India will bring the entire suite of the Raffle’s professional development programme and courses to the country, providing Educomp’s large student population with meaningful alternatives when they graduate from high school.

Some of the Raffle’s programmes and courses that will be brought to India include courses in design, executive management, and hospitality.

The joint venture in India will localise and create India-specific programme and courses, to address the employability gap in the country.

In China, the two companies will partner with each other to bring to China the entire suite of Educomp’s extensive programmes and products for K-12 students.
