HP to launch more ‘lifestyle computing’ range of laptops

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, May 29 Taking consumer feedback and incorporating consumers’ demands into new designs, Hewlett-Packard India plans to launch about 6-8 new lifestyle computing range of laptops in the Indian market shortly.

Consumers are driving changes be it in mobile phones, electronic goods or personal computers. New buying patterns are emerging which reveal that six out of 10 personal computers sold in Tier II and III towns are laptops, according to Mr Shubhodip Pal, Head Marketing, Personal Systems Group, HP India Sales.

Speaking to Business Line, Mr Pal said “buyers’ tastes keep changing and they do not want to compromise. This is forcing manufacturers to design and market laptops that meet this requirement. Therefore, you have graphics on PCs, something we offered based on a consumer contest. ” The company launched Verve HP Imprint finish on the limited edition entertainment notebook, the Thrive HP Imprint on the special edition and Mesh HP Imprint finish.
