Dell launches EqualLogic solutions

Hyderabad, May 29

Dell India on Thursday announced the launch of storage solutions in the Indian market; which, the company claimed, simplifies the installation process and improves performance. The Dell EqualLogic product range helps one to deploy these storage systems in less than 20 minutes as against two days in other competing range. After installation, it makes the jobs of IT managers easier by automatically sharing work loads, Mr Pallab Talukdar, Director of Enterprise Business for Dell India, said.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Talukdar said that the company had acquired EqualLogic and rolled out products using new technologies. We are in talks with enterprises in different sectors and also data centres with these products. Quoting research data, Mr Talukdar said storage is growing at about 15 per cent a year and projected to increase by a factor of six within four years, between 2006 and 2010 — which calls for constant upgradation of storage capability.
