Fertiliser sector to get top priority in gas allocation

New Delhi, May 29 An Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) headed by the External Affairs Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, on Wednesday decided to give fertiliser sector top priority in allocation of natural gas to be produced in the country. First the unfulfilled demands of fertiliser units will be met and then gas will be allocated to the existing gas-based power units. “Fertiliser sector has been accorded the top priority and after the decision it will get first preference on gas to be produced in the country,” the Fertiliser Minister said.
