J&J extends Clean & Clear range

Babycare major Johnson & Johnson is enhancing its skincare portfolio in the Indian market. Extending its teenage skincare range under Clean & Care, the company is launching a series of oil control and acne clearing products. At a press conference, Mr Narendra K. Ambwani, President & Managing Director, J&J, said, “We now want to be a larger player in the skincare market. Skincare is a low-penetrated and underdeveloped category and we are launching an extended Clean & Care range.”

In fact, J&J is a skincare major in most markets, except India, where it has dominant share in the baby care segment followed by the feminine hygiene segment.

Of late, it has been trying to strengthen its presence in the skincare segment and has been test marketing its high-end skincare brand of Neutrogena, and now, the extended range from Clean & Care addressing teenage skin problems.
