South Indian Bank mobile banking

Hyderabad, May 30

South Indian Bank will soon be launching payment facility through mobile phones for its customers to transfer funds to other accounts and pay utility bills. The bank has tied up with the service provider Paymate, for this purpose. The facility would be in place within next two months, Mr M. Valsan, Executive Director, told newspersons after inaugurating its 14th regional office here on Friday.

The Thrissur-based private bank which has 502 branches in South India is planning to expand its network to north and eastern parts of the country as well. "We will be opening 28 braches this financial year and a majority of them will be in northern and eastern regions," the official said. - Our Bureau
