KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd, solutions partner to global manufacturing corporations, today announced the appointment of Dr R.A. Mashelkar, Ms Lila Poonawala, and Mr K.V. Krishnamurthy as new Independent Directors to the board, Mr Ravi Pandit, Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, KPIT Cummins said. Ms Lila Poonawala was awarded the Padmashree in 1989 – recognized for her contribution to the world of engineering and industry. She is currently a Director on the Board of IDBI Bank, IDBI Intech, Technigraphics, Blossom Brewery and Pragati Leadership. Dr Mashelkar is currently the President of Institute of Chemical Engineers, UK and Global Research Alliance. He is also the Chairman of the National Innovation Foundation, Marico Innovation Foundation and Reliance Innovation Council. Mr K.V. Krishnamurthy is currently on the board of Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Ltd, Sundaram BNP Paribas, Mutual Fund, Essel Propack, Essar Steel Ltd, Centrum Capital Ltd.
