Stone laid for new BrahMos facility

Hyderabad, May 30 The foundation stone for the weapon integration facility of BrahMos Complex was laid at the Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL).

Speaking on the occasion, Dr A. Sivathanu Pillai, Chief Controller of Research and Development, DRDO and CEO and Managing Director of BrahMos Aerospace Ltd, said, “The Indian Army has the fastest cruise missile against land targets.

“The precision, speed and power of the BrahMos Missile are unmatched.”

New complex

He added that it has the most sophisticated ground complex with mobile command post and mobile autonomous launcher for winning the war.

Mr K.S. Rajasekhara Rao, CMD, ECIL, said that these systems were built with the support of DRDL and the infrastructural facilities at ECIL were continuously being upgraded to meet higher volumes of production of items required for the Armed Forces.
