Nod for Kolkata airport upgrade

New Delhi, May 30

The proposal of the Airports Authority of India to modernise the Kolkata airport has been approved by the Public Investment Board (PIB) of the Government. The ‘more than Rs 1900-crore’ proposal will have to be cleared by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs before AAI can start work at the airport.
