BILT bags HIV programme award

New Delhi, May 31

Ballarpur Industries Ltd (BILT), the country's largest paper manufacturer and part of the over $3 billion Avantha Group, has been awarded TERI Corporate Award for Business Response to HIV/AIDS.

The award was presented by Mr Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, to Mr Rajive Vederah, Managing Director, BILT. "At BILT, we have implemented a comprehensive HIV/AIDS programme that covers employees, casual workers, truckers and transporters as well as communities living around our six manufacturing locations across the country.

Besides generating awareness, we are involved in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS," said Ms Yashashree Gurjar, Chief General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility for BILT. - Our Bureau
