Our Bureau

Bangalore, June 1 The State-run oil firms’ decision to hike aviation turbine fuel prices is set to make air travel costlier in India.

The Bangalore-based UB Group, that runs Kingfisher Airlines and Simplifly Deccan, is planning to increase the base fare and fuel surcharge soon. “No decision taken yet, but will increase base fare as well as fuel surcharge in June. We are in discussions with other airlines,” said a UB Group spokesperson.
