Power Grid gets acting CMD

New Delhi, June 3

The Centre has appointed Mr S. Majumdar as acting Chairman and Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd for a period of three months or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He will also continue to discharge his present duties as Director (Projects), an official release said. Mr Majumdar's appointment follows Mr R.P. Singh's resignation from the post in March. - Our Bureau
