Hardware Intel Nettops to hit market soon Hyderabad, June 4 Chip major Intel Corporation has hinted that consumers can get hold of the new generation netbooks or nettops within a few weeks. These small form PCs (personal computers), aimed at first time Internet users, with facilities to listen to music and meet gaming requirements would be powered by a new breed of processors. The devices are expected to be priced around $250-$300 (about Rs 10,000-12,000), said Mr Prakash Bagri, Director Marketing, Intel, South Asia. A host of global original equipment manufacturers such as Asus, Acer, Gigabyte, Toshiba, including Indian ones such as Zenith, HCL Infotech and Wipro, are poised to launch these devices. The company showcased some of these devices at Computex in Taipei.
