Seeking withdrawal of VAT: Taxicabs parked at a closed Reliance Petrol station in Hyderabad. As many as 25,000 cabs and private buses went off the roads in the city on Thursday following an indefinite strike demanding withdrawal of value added tax. The strike hit hard people travelling to and from the airport as well as IT companies and call centres, where more than one lakh employees are provided pick up and drop facilities every day.
