Vijayawada, June 6 The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has said that the Pulichintala balancing reservoir on the Krishna will be completed in a year. The reservoir is intended to stabilise water supply to the Krishna delta (13 lakh acres, mainly in Krishna and Guntur districts).

He was speaking at Puligadda near Avanigadda in Krishna district on Friday after inaugurating the work on the modernisation of the 150-year-old delta. He said he had visited Pulichintala on Thursday and inspected the works and the project would be completed in a year’s time.
