Gontermann-Peipers turnover up 18%

Kolkata, June 7

The board of directors of Gontermann-Peipers (India) Ltd has recommended a dividend of 15 per cent on equity shares and six per cent on cumulative preference shares of the company for the fiscal 2007-08. The company is engaged in the manufacture of high-precision rolls for hot rolling mills, cold rolling mills and the capital goods industry. According to a press release issued here, the company recorded a turnover of Rs 173.99 crore in 2007-08, a rise of 18 per cent from a turnover of Rs 147.74 crore in 2006-07. The profit before tax in 2007-08 stood at Rs 24.03 crore against Rs 20.26 crore in 2006-07. The profit after tax in 2007-08 was Rs 15.11 crore, a rise of 24 per cent over Rs 12.21 crore recorded in 2006-07, the release adds. - Our Bureau
