Transgene, Mentor Pharma sign pact

Hyderabad, June 7

Transgene Biotek Ltd entered into a definitive agreement with Australia-based Mentor Pharmaceuticals Consulting Pty Ltd for research, development, manufacturing and marketing of several products. The products would be developed through novel delivery technologies that may include methods such as oral, transdermal or other novel delivery systems. The products to be developed include human insulin, erythropoietin, other protein, polysaccharide-based vaccines, the Hyderabad-based company said in a release. The agreement would also help accelerating Transgene's ongoing project to develop and commercialise oral delivery of human insulin, it added. - Our Bureau
