Tea New chief for UPASI Tea Research Coimbatore, June 7 Dr P. Mohan Kumar has assumed charge as Director of the Valparai-based UPASI Tea Research Foundation. He joined the research foundation in 2006 as Joint Director, and was later elevated as Additional Director before taking over as its Director. A specialist in plant biotechnology, he has worked for over two decades in the research and development wing of Tata Tea, both in their South Indian plantations at Munnar and Assam in the north-east. - Our Bureau
