Agile Labs seeks US patent for tool

Our Bureau

Bangalore, June 8 Agile Labs has come out with a technology that promises to provide inexpensive tools for enterprises to build their own applications at affordable cost and in quick time.

The business process engine Axpert also helps with flexibility while building any future enterprise application. It eliminates the need for writing complex code or programming, besides storing the business logic in the database as ‘process structures’ — making application server redundant.

The company has already filed a patent in the US and expects an approval by the year-end, said Mr Raghunathan Perumal, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Agile Labs.

Its easy adaptability had helped one of its customers in the State to build a system out of its operational complexities to achieve multi-fold increase in revenue. Adopting its own business model to streamline its operations, the Karnataka State Breweries Corporation Ltd achieved sales of Rs 5,600 crore from a mere Rs 300 crore in four years.

Axpert can be used for building any enterprise application such as customer relations management, enterprise resource planning and supply chain management without writing a single line of code.

It can be used by domain experts/business analysts to build applications without the help of a programmer. Custom-made applications can now be built in a short time. It has a lean architecture and hence needs lesser hardware resources, Mr Perumal said.

It can co-exist with any other applications such as SAP and Oracle.

The company plans to tie up with partners to market the product. “We will provide the technology while they will build the solutions for the customers,” Mr Perumal said.
