IT Training Industry & Economy - Education States - Maharashtra States - Other States NIIT partners Maharashtra, Bihar New Delhi, June 8 Talent development company NIIT has clinched a mandate for providing computer and computer-aided education to 1.9 million students in 900 State Government Schools in Maharashtra and Bihar. The two projects are worth Rs 71 crore over a five-year period. “As per two back-to-back orders bagged by its School Learning Solutions Business, NIIT will train nearly 1.3 million students in 500 State Government schools in Maharashtra, and 600,000 children in 400 schools in Bihar, in the next five years,” a company release said here. Commenting on the details of the new programmes, Mr L. Balasubramanian, President of School Learning Solutions, NIIT, said, “We are honoured to partner with the Governments of Maharashtra and Bihar in their initiative to promote computer education in schools.” NIIT’s learning solutions for schools includes setting up of computer hardware, software, connected accessories for computer system, computer education, computer-based education services, and highly-trained instructors, for classes 8 to 12 in specified secondary and higher secondary Government schools on a turnkey basis model, the release added. – Our Bureau More Stories on : IT Training | Education | Maharashtra | Other States
