Maruti 800 LPG variant launched

New Delhi, June 9

Maruti Suzuki India recenlty launched a variant in its flagship model Maruti 800 Duo that would run both on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as well petrol. The price of Maruti standard LPG variant would cost Rs 2.05 lakh and the AC model would cost Rs 2.26 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). “Dual fuel vehicles have always formed a part of our overall product strategy. We are happy to launch the Maruti 800 Duo, as it uses LPG, an environment friendly cleaner fuel,” Mayank Pareek, Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India said in a statement. This would be the third such model in Maruti’s portfolio after Omni and WagonR. The company has sold almost 1.25 lakh cars equipped with LPG and CNG fuels. The LPG variants constitute around 23 per cent of national sales for Wagon R and Omni. — —
