Award for EMRI

Hyderabad, June 9

The Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI) has received top recognition in the health care category at the 2008 Computerworld Honors Program. The award was received by Mr Verghese Jacob, Chief Integrator and Lead Partner of Byraju Foundation at an award ceremony held in Washington. A release from EMRI said that the 10 organisations that received awards this year were chosen from among 50 finalists — five in each of the categories. EMRI runs the 108 emerge ncy number in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand. The three States have access to the automated emergency call centre services developed by the institute. —
