Meridian Comm sets up shop in Delhi

Chennai, June 10 Ogilvy & Mather has announced the start of the operations of Meridian Communications Pvt Ltd in Delhi.

According to an official statement, the launch of Meridian, its full-service agency, is part of its growth and investment strategy to address the increasing needs of its clients and the growing market

Meridian in Delhi will be a 360-degree agency from inception. Mr Sunil Verma, Vice-President, will lead the operations of Meridian Communications in Delhi, the statement said. One of the youngest agencies in India, Meridian Communications is backboned on the Ogilvy values and thinking. The start of the Delhi operations strengthens the operations of Meridian Communications, which already has a presence in Mumbai and Bangalore.

The group’s client portfolio includes Axis Bank, Arvind Mills, Dockers, Himalaya Drug Company, Optimix from the ING Group, Anand Rathi Group and ITC Personal Care division, to name a few.

Meridian also works with the INX Group and has created the launch communication for INX Group’s 9X Entertainment Television which has become the third most viewed channel in the country in the GEC space within eight months, the statement said.

Meridian Delhi has already added DLF Pramerica and Unitech to its client portfolio.
