Marriott plans to line up new properties

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, June 10 Marriott International, the global hospitality group, is planning to have a line-up of 25 properties in the country in the next few years, including four each in Bangalore and Hyderabad, two in Chennai and one each in Visakhapatnam, Pune and Delhi.

The company is working with different hospitality players in these cities to offer the Marriott hospitality services.

In Hyderabad, the group would have three more properties, besides the one it already manages – Hyderabad Marriott in tie-up with the Viceroy group.

“Two of the three new properties are being done in association with Viceroy that owns the properties, while Marriott manages them,” Mr Ty Collins, the newly-appointed General Manager of Hyderabad Marriott, said.

Courtyard brand

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said the 200-room Courtyard brand hotel would come up adjoining the Marriott here. “It would be ready by the end of next year,” he said.

The Viceroy group would come up with an Executive Apartments at Banjara Hills. This would be managed by Marriott. The other property in Hyderabad, which would be the premium JW Marriott, would come up on the Emaar-MGF’s huge real-estate project at the Hi-Tech City.
