GMR launches security training academy in AP

Bangalore, June 13 GMR Group today launched a security services training academy in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The academy will be run by Bangalore-based Raxa Security Services, formed by GMR Group. The academy has been set up with an initial investment of Rs 35 crore.

The company was formed by GMR Group to provide consultancy services for integrated security solutions for business and industrial establishments. Security services industry in the country is a sunrise industry and is valued at around Rs 4,500 crore.

Sixty per cent of this is in the unorganised sector. However, the organised sector is expected to grow at around 20-25 per cent annually.
