Visakhapatnam, June 16 The Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation (APSFC) has set itself the target of sanctioning Rs 1,250 crore to entrepreneurs during the current financial year, according to Mr Giridhar, Managing Director.

He was speaking at a business development campaign organised by the APSFC here on Monday to receive proposals from entrepreneurs from the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.

Receives 60 proposals

He said the corporation had received 60 proposals for setting up units at a cost of Rs 170 crore and earlier this month in Hyderabad more than a hundred proposals (Rs 350 crore) at a similar campaign.

He said that already the APSFC had received proposals worth more than Rs 500 crore in Vizag and Hyderabad and similar campaigns would be organised at Rajahmundry on Tuesday and Vijayawada on Wednesday. Later, it would go to Tirupati, he added.

During 2007-08, the APSFC had sanctioned Rs 1,000 crore to units in the State and it was confident of surpassing the current year’s target as well.
