Cut off: People standing on the National Highway No.52, which was washed away by flash floods in North Lakhimpur district of Assam about 400 km away from Guwahati city on Monday. Two districts of Assam and parts of Arunachal Pradesh were totally cut off with the rest of the country since June 14, as the flash floods washed away a portion of the National Highway No. 52. More than 1.60 lakh people of over 150 villages of the district have been affected by the first wave of floods in Assam.
