Madurai, June 16

A review meeting of the fourth All India Census of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises was held in the city on Saturday. According to Mr S.A.P. Vairamani, General Manager, District Industries Centre, there are 12,676 registered units in the district. Census work on around 2,000 units has been completed. The Deputy Director (Statistical), MSME Development Institute, Government of India, Mr Manojkumar, who trained the enumerators, reviewed the census work, said a release fro m the Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association.
