Nagapattinam, June 17

A complete census of tiny, small and medium scale industries located in various parts of Nagapattinam district will be taken soon by the officials of Industries Department, said Mr M. Jayaraman, Collector, here on Monday.

The Collector appealed to the proprietors of all these industries to furnish all details to the officials, including production, purchase of raw materials, and so on, as these particulars were required for compilation of all-India census of small and medium scale industries. Mr Jayaraman said that small and medium scale industries that were registered as on March 31, 2007, with the District Industries Centre would be taken into account for the census, and pointed out that it was mandatory for the proprietors of these industries to furnish all details to the census officials.
