FICCI presents 5-pt agenda to Karnataka CM

Our Bureau

Bangalore, June 17

FICCI has urged the new government in Karnataka to develop Bangalore into a planned modern city.

It should focus on emerging sectors such as aviation, nanotechnology, healthcare, media and entertainment for the next wave of economic growth and investments.

The suggestions are part of the five-point agenda that the federation’s Karnataka Council Chairman, Mr Sajan Poovayya, on Tuesday presented to the Chief Minister, Mr B.S. Yeddyurappa. Karnataka and Bangalore can be the preferred investment destination in the country for these sunrise sectors, along with medical tourism, high-end design and knowledge services, it says.
