Tech Mahindra in pact with MS

Mumbai, June 17

Telecom solutions provider Tech Mahindra has entered into an alliance with Microsoft to address its system integration (SI) requirements for the deployment of the Microsoft Mediaroom Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and multimedia software platform. The alliance will also help Tech Mahindra strengthen its system integration capabilities related to IPTV and give both companies an opportunity to expand into new markets, said a news release issued by the Pune-based company

Microsoft Mediaroom, which enables broadband service providers to deliver new connected TV and entertainment experiences to consumers, is already being deployed or in trials by over 20 service providers worldwide. The Tech Mahindra scrip was up by 3.03 per cent to close at Rs 813.45 on the BSE on Tuesday. – Our Bureau
